Two – The next thing you want to make sure of if you want the easiest map possible is that your tile has permanent summer. You can find this biome on the world map by searching for light green areas – usually a bit north or south of the equator. This biome has plenty of trees and animals, enough rich soil for thriving agriculture, tons of grazeable areas for your livestock, a lower disease chance than many of the other maps, a nice temperature range, and much more. – Temperate forest is one of the easiest, if not the easiest biome to build a base on for many reasons and I highly recommend it if you are just starting out or if you want to maximize your chance of success in general.
